James ‘Butch” Lloyd Highley, Jr., age 62, of Mt. Pleasant, MI passed away at home on Tuesday, April 3, 2018.  Butch was born on February 1, 1956 in Wetzel County, WV the son of James Lloyd and Ethel May Highley, Sr.  Butch married Judy Ann Weaver on July 31, 1976 in Mt. Pleasant.  Butch lived most of his life in the Mt. Pleasant area. He was a self-employed body shop and mechanic.  He enjoyed restoring cars, building race cars, hunting and his family and grandchildren. 

         He is survived by four sons:  Darrell (Jessica Jones) Highley, Jeremiah Highley and Joseph (Charity) Highley and a son Michael of Florida.  Five grandchildren: Nathan, Abbi, Cassidy, Matia and Owen Highley along with two sisters:  Helen (Randy Taber) Highley of Gladwin and Susetta and Mike Elliott of Mt. Pleasant.  Butch was preceded in death by both parents, his wife Judy and a sister Wanda Highley.

      Funeral services for Butch will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 12 noon from Rowley Funeral Home with Rev. Doyle Perry officiating.  Friends and family will gather on Friday from 10 am until 12 noon.  The family has asked for memorial contributions in Butch’s memory to assist them with the funeral expenses.  Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
